Audio book sorting seems to be by track not by name

I have just found the "Books" library category and am excited to use it because I have a bunch of audio books.

I'm having a sorting issue.  The web page of my books say they are sorted by "Name", but it really seems to be sorted by track number.  For example:  I have a file structure in my library as - audio books/author/book, in the book directory are all my .mp3 files for that book.  Most of my file names are disk-track-book name.mp3 (D1-01 bookname.mp3).  But for some reason my audio books are display/sorted by track number and not by the file name or title within the files.  I'm seeing all the track 01's, then track 02's, then track 03's, etc... Instead of disk 1 track 01, disk 1 track 02, disk 1 track 03, etc.....  I really don't want to have to make a playlist for each book I have, if I can just get the library to sort by file name or even title.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Hi, it's name meaning the file name.

Then I don't know why mine is not sorting by the file name.  My server is version 3.3.1.0.  The attached pics show a sample book screen shot of my browser with Sort by Name set, and the other is my file info for that book.

Any suggestions?

What i would do is check the sort title values in the metadata editor.

All the "Sort title:" fields in the audio books are blank, when I viewed them in the Metadata Manager.  Is that the info you're asking for?

hi @@socalredneck can you please provide sample files for testing? i believe this is due to the way your audio files are tagged with embedded metadata. thanks.

Sorry for the delay, I was out of town.

Here is a few files for you to review.  I use iTunes to import my audio books to .mp3. Hope it helps, thank you.

If there is a better way to import my audio books to work with emby, please let me know.

01 _Intro 01.mp3

01 Ch 006 05.mp3

01 Ch 014 01.mp3
