e123enitan 275 Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 How does this work and setting with emby client and emby server. What improvement or security does this provides. Any thoughts.
Angelblue05 4132 Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 From my understanding, this will probably not be needed in a lot of cases. It's only to be used if you have a .pem certificate for your clients. But from my understanding this is the old way of doing things and should not be needed otherwise.

But wouldn’t that bring a second layer of security when having client certificates plus username/password?
Angelblue05 4132 Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 I don't believe self signed is compatible with this.
Angelblue05 4132 Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 (edited) No idea to be honest. I was just following the documentation. It seemed related It's possible it's not even required and it's only if you host? http://docs.python-requests.org/en/master/user/advanced/#ssl-cert-verification Edited March 15, 2018 by Angelblue05
