nick.becker65 0 Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Hi all, I have one movie in particular that was ripped that stops playing for whatever reason. It will run for 30 -45 secs, not exactly sure of the time but then just stop. I have no errors popping up on the screen the movie just exits back out to the movie screen where you can either resume the movie or start it. I used the same settings on Handbrake that I have for all my other movies and this is the only one that has had an issue. Logs are attached. Thanks for any help. ebr 16178 Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Looks like a bad encode but perhaps updating FFMpeg will help? I'll defer to Luke on that. Luke 42078 Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 We might have to attach a bitstream filter, or it could also just be a badly encoded file. Can you provide a copy of the video for testing? Thanks.

Luke 42078 Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 A snippet is fine provided that the problem also occurs with the snippet. a 1 minute sample is enough. thanks.
nick.becker65 0 Posted March 21, 2018 Author Posted March 21, 2018 (edited) Never mind I found some software and have a snippet but it won't let me attach it. It's only 72 MB so it should be fine size while to attach. Edited March 21, 2018 by nick.becker65
nick.becker65 0 Posted March 25, 2018 Author Posted March 25, 2018 Trying to upload again but I keep getting "error you aren't permitted to upload this kind of file" message. It's a mp4 file.
nick.becker65 0 Posted March 30, 2018 Author Posted March 30, 2018 Ok zipping the file worked. See attached roughly 1 minute snippet of the movie. Step Brothers snippet.zip
Luke 42078 Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Thanks. This one is strange. I can't even get this file to transcode successfully.
