Question about android emulator

Hey guys, has anyone ever heard of bluestack android emulator? Im trying to figure out how to run the app directv now on my htpc since i refuse to buy amazons new firetv, which stinks. I am presently streaming tv through the app on the firestick & the stick stinks. Does anyone know if bluestacks would work on my pc? My goal is to be able to use it only for directv now until I can get live tv going over an antenna, which will not be for a while.

Why not use Emby live tv?

Because I have not antenna to get ota channels. I'm far from NYC so I'm gonna need a heavy duty roof antenna and I will not be able to do that until this summer. The fire stick I have sucks and shield tv does.bot run the directv now app. I tried the app via the Chromecast browser with my keyboard & my wife said no way. Once I have ota channels then I'll get a shield tv but I think the ET ui beats everything else.
