Emby Premiere required for Playback

Hi,

 

I am running an Emby server on my desktop and have installed Emby for Android from Google Play Store on my mobile. I am unsure about the requirement of Emby Premiere for playback. My doubts are

1. Do I need to have Emby premiere to play videos, if accessed via local network?

2. Does "Emby premiere is needed for playback" apply when I am trying to access Emby server over Internet ?

3. Where is the in-app purchase button?

Hi.  You either need Premiere or to unlock the app for playback (but this will not include other Premiere features).

Is there a trial period or something for the Android app? Because I am not seeing "a screen that is telling me I need it".

 

Also, does this apply only if someone is associated to an Emby connect account?
