runtimesandbox 171 Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 It would be great if we could have multi user support ie a login screen with a list of selected users (don't want all users on the server) and the option to log a user out after x period of time so that a TV in a shared room can be used with each individual having their own watched lists etc
ebr 16183 Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 Hi. This is all already possible. What app are you using?
runtimesandbox 171 Posted March 10, 2018 Author Posted March 10, 2018 How do i find the version of the app? I installed it from the samsung app store on the TV The TV is a UE40MU6120
Luke 42078 Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 Yes it already has a visual login screen. Have you hidden all users from login screens?
runtimesandbox 171 Posted March 10, 2018 Author Posted March 10, 2018 Yes I have hidden all the users from the login screen. Is it possible to have certain users shown but only locally? Is it possible to not have to enter a pin or password when signing in locally?

Is it possible to not have to enter a pin or password when signing in locally? No. Yes. Check the Users section of the admin page.
runtimesandbox 171 Posted March 10, 2018 Author Posted March 10, 2018 In which case the feature request would be as follows: Have the option to set a timeout setting so that users get logged out after X minutes of inactivity. Be able to set a user to be shown on login screens on local networks only. Option for local sign in with no password

Be able to set a user to be shown on login screens on local networks only. Option for local sign in with no password You can already set a timeout, in the Emby app on the device. Ok. We already stated this is possible, check the User section of the admin page... Edited March 10, 2018 by mastrmind11
runtimesandbox 171 Posted March 10, 2018 Author Posted March 10, 2018 I understand you can set a pin but to use instead of the password but this doesn't appear to work if left blank?
Luke 42078 Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 It's only when you're on the same network as the server.
runtimesandbox 171 Posted April 1, 2018 Author Posted April 1, 2018 it doesn't seem to be possible to leave blank is you try and change it when a pin is already set. it does work if it the pin is reset and left blank / enabled Would it be possible to get an option to allow users to be shown on local network devices but not globally / externally? Either a global option to hide all users externally OR in the users profile an option to "show on local login screens" Moving to the native emby app from kodi with the emby plugin, its not possible to have multiple users and keep track of individual watched status in a secure fashion.
