Samsung app does not load TV channels

I run emmby server latest version and have a SAMSUNG TV UE40ES8000, emby app 2.2.4

I cannot watch channel anymore. Once selected the screen shows loading, but does not go any further than hjtat.

Try turning off the recording conversion feature.

What you could also try is lowering the in app quality setting to force a full transcode.

Which exact parameter are you referring to?

I can watch this same channel on my laptop, unfortunately not in emby app of SAMSUNG.

There should be a setting to lower the quality / bitrate under "TV Settings"

No change, it set lowest possible value of 0,5 MB/d.

I have 2 TV sets, one runs on 2.2.3 and the other on 2.2.4. The problem is the same on both.

 

It worked fine, I did not change the config and it stopped working

There is another issue that happens form time to time and happened just now. When using Samsung app and the iPad, emby crashes sometimes. Maybe there is a hint inthe file why this happens

Ok, keep in mind for your model TV this is a community maintained app. Perhaps @@SamES can try to reproduce the live tv playback failure. thanks.

Development of Live TV was never officially competed or released for this app.  It was only available in the beta release for devt testing.  Once development ended it was not initially included in the release, but eventually it was added back to 2.2.3 for those that had used on the basis of it being unfinished work.  I expect if I was to start looking at the code we would find more than a few things that need work.
