abescalamis 84 Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 For what I've read you could use the Embuary skin and it does it automatically, but I was wondering if there is a way to make it show in the normal estuary like it does for movies and TV shows. thank you?
sualfred 677 Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 You need a own backend like TV Headend for it. https://kodi.wiki/view/PVR
abescalamis 84 Posted March 8, 2018 Author Posted March 8, 2018 You need a own backend like TV Headend for it. https://kodi.wiki/view/PVR I think I got it, I was using the "Simple IPTV", and that one doesn't seem to be compatible with the Emby. I will use this one instead and will enter the same port and ip information as on the emby for kodi addon, I'm I correct? thank you.
otispresley 111 Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 There is currently no way to get live TV from Emby in Kodi. Those addons are for other TV backends. You have to install the Tvheadend server software on a computer on your network and configure it with your tuners and such in order to use that PVR addon in Kodi. I found Tvheadend very clunky and difficult to set up, so I am using NextPVR on Windows as it has a simpler, easy-to-use interface.
Jdiesel 1431 Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 There was talk of a Emby LiveTV backend for Kodi being developed but I'm not sure if anything came of it 1
