WMC command line support

Hi

 

I use some command line parameters with Windows Media Center (WMC). One of which starts WMC straight into the music library. I wondered if there was away that could be used to start WMC straight into MediaBrowser?

 

E.g. to start straight into the music library I use

 

%windir%\ehome\ehshell.exe /nostartupanimation /directmedia:music

 

I have tried replacing "music" with media browser and mediabrowser in the above but they did not work. Does Media Browser have an internal name for the WMC strip? Maybe that would work?

Not sure if this will work, but I think it should be something like:

 

%windir%\ehome\ehshell.exe /nostartupanimation /entrypoint:{CE32C570-4BEC-4aeb-AD1D-CF47B91DE0B2}\{FC9ABCCC-36CB-47ac-8BAB-03E8EF5F6F22}

 

Though I'm not sure if that entry point id changes with everytime you update the MBC version.

Yes that works, using the above WMC loads straight into Media Browser. Many thanks, I'll check if it still works when MBC gets its next update.

A shortcut is created for you each time MBC is installed.

Is there such an option for xbox 360 extenders?

No, I don't think there is any way to make an extender launch directly into a plug-in.
