Neil1411 0 Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 Hi guys, any help would be greatly appreciated, my emby server on CentOS 7 is crashing numerous times a day. I can start it straight back up again but its really annoying, have gone through the logs and it looks as though its been happening since the 3rd March as I have loads of unhandled logs, I'll attach one if that helps. Solution dcrdev 255 Posted March 6, 2018 Solution Posted March 6, 2018 You're running a version of Mono that is higher than they support and is known to have issues; I believe the highest they support is 4.8.1. That being said... when I say "support", I mean last supported because they don't actually support Mono installs at all anymore and are pushing their .net core packages. I would make the switch - as eventually they are going to get rid of their OBS repo for the Mono version and you'll be stuck without updates. 1
Luke 42078 Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 What he's referring to would require a complete uninstallation followed by a new installation using the instructions found on our website: https://emby.media/download Thanks. 1
Neil1411 0 Posted March 6, 2018 Author Posted March 6, 2018 I’m currently on centos 7, will I need to go to a windows install?
Neil1411 0 Posted March 6, 2018 Author Posted March 6, 2018 Also if I do a backup can I restore to the new install?
mastrmind11 722 Posted March 7, 2018 Posted March 7, 2018 no, you dont need to go to windows, there are both deb and docker install instructions. the backup plugin will restore settings, users, and watched status, assuming your media has not moved post backup. 1
