Here's the issue I'm having with my server. The pixel related artifacts while a movie plays happens like every 10mins or so and doesn't with my main rig. I tried the Intel Sync transcode settings with no help. So what gives...

 

My Server Rig: Intel 775 Q6600 Stock | 4GB RAM PC800 | nVidia 710 2GB | 450GB/750GB HDDs All Movies MP4 @720P

My main Rig: Intel 1150 i3 4150 | 8GB | nVidia 750Ti 2GB | 2 1TB HDDs

All movies?  Direct playing or transcoding?  Wifi or ethernet? etc

It's on WiFi and yes mostly All movies but I only tested only 2 and by Direct play.... unsure. I have it where on my PC the PC is shared and Allowed but File sharing is Disabled but they can read files

What emby app are you playing with?

On my Roku TV from Insignia a 32"Inch Emby Version: 3.0 Build 64

Ok, and you're sure it is always direct playing? Because when it direct plays there's not much we can do about this, other than ask you to lower the in app quality setting to force the server to transcode it.

How would I know? There's no setting... All my Movies are 720P so I don't get why both Plex and Emby have this Issue. Maybe the CPU isn't powerful enough? My main rig has no issue i3 4150

Please Try to play something and then attach the won't server log. Thanks.

It is direct playing so the issue is either the TV or network connection is not capable of handling the bitrate of that file.  Wireless connections are often an issue here.

But I tested it on my main rig with no issues at All...

 

Think i'll just have that 775 rig for my gaming rig then and my main one for the server. Guess the CPU on that rig isn't powerful enough for a streaming server pc

If it is direct playing then it is probably network related and not cpu related. Could be the network connection of the TV.

The server dashboard will tell you but given the absence of an ffmpeg log that would also be an indicator.

I looked at the log before and saw that it was direct streaming.

 

 

It is direct playing so the issue is either the TV or network connection is not capable of handling the bitrate of that file.  Wireless connections are often an issue here.

Hmm still weird to me as I even connected my Netgear USB Adapter from my Main Rig but still same so I'll just stick with my main for the Sever and the 775 for gaming

Is the gaming rig attached to the network via Ethernet cable or Wifi?

 

Have you tried putting the file on a USB thumb drive attached to the TV to play it to rule out an issue that way?  Probably won't lean anything but worth a shot.
