DavidS1977 9 Posted March 4, 2018 Posted March 4, 2018 Hello, In the current Harmony Hub settings there is a "Stop" button for Nvidia Shield. It works in other apps (Netflix, Amazon Video etc) as shown here: https://support.myharmony.com/en-pl/harmony-experience-with-nvidia-shield Ideally - it would be great if the stop command could halt music from playing when it is playing in the background in Emby. Is this something that could be achieved in the future?
ebr 16178 Posted March 4, 2018 Posted March 4, 2018 Does the play/pause button stop the music in this situation? (I know it isn't what you want but knowing that will help me know what we are capable of in this situation)
DavidS1977 9 Posted March 6, 2018 Author Posted March 6, 2018 Kind of - depending on where I'm browsing within Emby this seems to pause the music - but there aren't many places where this doesn't cause other media to start playing. I like the functionality of clicking play on something like a TV show or movie boxset and it play so I wouldn't want to lose that, but it would be good to be able to press stop and media stops playing wherever you are in Emby. Thanks for listening.
ebr 16178 Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 Oh, okay, so you're talking about still inside of Emby but with music playing. You can try this with the next beta. I'm not positive it will work but maybe (the actual remotes have no stop buttons).
Logos302 86 Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 I have not tried this so I don't know if it works, but some people on the nvidia forums report using the asus nexus player as the device you get the play/pause button.
ebr 16178 Posted March 7, 2018 Posted March 7, 2018 Thank you! Really appreciate this. Did you try it with the new beta? Did it work?
DavidS1977 9 Posted March 7, 2018 Author Posted March 7, 2018 Just tried it and it works perfectly! Thank you so much. The only thing that is a bit unusual is that if you are in the music player itself the Stop button doesn't seem to do anything. Thank you so much!

Thanks.
