The chromecast firmware is

 

1.30.109591

 

This is running on a Xiaomi Mi Box 3 which is completely up to date, issue still persists today playing a Deftones playlist

so its' a playlist, not album?

The most recent log was referencing an item in a playlist.  The logs on the first page were for items in an album.

 

I have also tested casting Spotify to the Xiaomi Mi Box's built in Chromecast receiver and this is fine.. so it does seem Emby is the one with the issue

 

Also tested casting to an actual Chromecast Audio and it is fine.

 

So currently the issue seems to be isolated to the Android TV device and Emby

I have the same issue (console screenshot included).  Recently, I noticed playlists in Chrome are not moving to the next song and I have to click the forward button to play the next song in the playlist.  Firefox works fine though.  I also run in docker bridge mode.

Updated to the latest version of Chrome (Version 65.0.3325.146) and so far so good.  I'll report back if I run into the issue again.

Unfortunately, Started having the issue again yesterday.

What's the best way to proceed with this?  This is literally driving my wife over the edge, yesterday she was having playback stop  between tracks regardless of whether she was casting to the built in Chromecast in the Xiaomi box or the actual Chromecast in another room.

The following refers to a Chomecast Audio running Firmware: 1.30.111140

Emby Server version: Version 3.3.1.0 running in Docker

 

This should be the earlier of the two log files. This happened to my wife today.

 

1. Open Emby App on Nexus 6P

2. Click casting Icon and connect to Chromecast Audio 'Lounge Room'

3. Attempt to play Vivaldi and Sleepmakes waves - nothing

4. No playback bar appeared at the bottom of the app to indicate playback had started and nothing out of speakers.

 

Repeat the above steps with the Xiaomi Mi Box 3's built in Chromecast receiver.

 

 

Now that i have come home from work. Later of the two logs

1. Open Emby App on iPhone

2. Click casting button and connect to 'Lounge Room'

3. Attempt to play Sarah Blasko

4. No playback bar appeared at the bottom of the app to indicate playback had started and nothing out of speakers.

 

After uploading logs i have checked that i can play Sarah Blasko in the browser using Chrome on the PC, but once i connect to chromecast nothing happens

 

*The same chromecast will play Spotify fine

More frustration with this today

 

Can't seem to find any consistent cause.. it appears to be random as much as i hate to say it.

 

Playing Vivaldi this morning, playback started from Emby app on wifes phone.. plays first track and stops, play second track and playback continues, try playing first track again and played fine for awhile.

 

Later in the day, playing the Deftones playlist

Casting initiated from IOS App on iphone, casting to chromecast labelled Lounge Room

Playback stopped after first track - drive, second track - digital bath, third track - teenager, fourth track - xerces

 

Each time press the track forward button causes music to continue

First 4 songs in playlist play correctly.

 

Playback stops between Xerces and Hole in the Earth.

 

Press the track forward button continues playback

Thanks. Another user who reported this with Chrome 65 indicated that it is resolved in Chrome 66 beta. Since Chromecast is also based on Chromium I think that's where the root issue probably is.

So just observing this while doing some other stuff, playback is stopped between every track from the album Saturday Night Wrist in the playlist if you look at the attachment in the previous post.

 

Playback paused after the following

 

Xerces

Hole in the earth

Cherry Waves

U,U,D,D,L,R,L,R,A,B

 

and each time pressing the track forward button continued on to the next track.

This album is full of low quality MP3's , please try creating a playlist from the test files upload to drive and see if you have the same issue

Tested this again today. the same 4 tracks as listed above pause at the end of each song.

 

Replaced the album with FLAC's today and the tracks are behaving as expected. ie: no pausing.

Is there any other info i can collect for this? It is still a problem and only happening with Chromecast.  It occurs with an actual Chromecast Audio and the Xiaomi Mi Box 3's built in Chromecast Receiver.

Have you tried Chromium browser?
