ptcmarkos 0 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Desperately need some help with this, Wife Approval Factor is plummeting fast and am copping lot's of grief The issue is to do with audio playback stopping after each track has been played. Issue is present on latest Android App, IOS App and Chrome Browser. This morning (log attached) we have tried casting the Drive Soundtrack from IOS App to Android TV. When clicking the large play icon at the top of the Album detail screen it will play 1 track only and then stop. If i choose a different track and click the side menu and select 'play all from here' it will play one track only. Same behavior casting from chrome browser to Android TV. Same behavior playing back within the browser without casting. server-63655705817.txt
Luke 42077 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Hi, @@ebr can comment about android tv, but i just tested this with the Chrome browser and it worked absolutely fine. Are you sure about that?
Luke 42077 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Just to clarify on what I mean by worked absolutely fine, when the first song ended, it advanced to the second song as expected.
Luke 42077 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 I also notice Chromecast in your log, I'm going to test that right now. Thanks.
ptcmarkos 0 Posted March 3, 2018 Author Posted March 3, 2018 Just tested this again in Chrome, and it gets to the end of the first song and then playback stops server-63655713123.txt
Luke 42077 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Just tested this again in Chrome, and it gets to the end of the first song and then playback stops Are you sure? Because your log actually contradicts that. Luke 42077 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Chromecast also was able to advance from track one to track two, in my testing at least.
reggierat 18 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Absolutely certain it's happening in Chrome Posted under the wrong account sorry, the other is a different NAS im setting up for a friend server-63655713123.txt
Luke 42077 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Ok I can't reproduce this but will continue to test, although for this kind of basic thing i tested it almost daily as it is. I wouldn't expect this to have any impact but you could try deleting all .dll files under /config/plugins
Luke 42077 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 But clearly the log is showing the audio player requesting the second track. Is it possible that you're just not being patient while the second track loads? Or is it possible that you've muted it somehow between tracks?
reggierat 18 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 I have no plugins folder under config , running this in docker It's definitely not a patience thing. i watch the playback bar move all the way to the end, it then stops and the stop button turns back into a play button. Happy to give you teamviewer access if it suits.
Luke 42077 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 I have no plugins folder under config , running this in docker Your log indicates this is not the case.
reggierat 18 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 my mistake, i was looking in the config subfolder, testing now
reggierat 18 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Plugins disabled, playback in chrome browser server-63655715838.txt
Luke 42077 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 When you say the play button changes, have you tried clicking the play button at that point?
reggierat 18 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Play button does nothing. Track forward works though
Luke 42077 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 can you grab the contents of the browser console? thanks.
Luke 42077 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Right click in a blank area such as the header -> inspect element. this will open the debugger at the bottom. then in the debugger switch to the console tab.

reggierat 18 Posted March 4, 2018 Posted March 4, 2018 Can confirm it works fine on Firefox. Guess it's on me to fix then Thought it may have been related to the other issue I'm having
ebr 16169 Posted March 4, 2018 Posted March 4, 2018 When you say "Casting to Android TV" were you talking about to our app or to the device as a ChromeCast?
Luke 42077 Posted March 4, 2018 Posted March 4, 2018 Chromecast is obviously not related to firefox, so whatever that is will be different. I'm just not able to reproduce it. It works fine here. Do you know your Chromecast firmware version? Maybe there's a defect in certain firmware versions. Thanks.
