Emby Connect Functionality personal domain

Hello,

 

I know that the web app (app.emby.media) can tell if the logged in user is inside or outside the network and will change the IP address to connect through LAN instead of WAN. When connecting through a reverse proxy (nginx) emby always uses the WAN address.  

 

Is is possible to have the same behavior as emby connect when using a personal domain?
