Is there a way to set a default subtitle color?

Recent builds are rendering the PGSSUB track as a black outline with no fill when no color is specified in the sub.  When there are two people talking and the second set of text has a defined color it renders fine but the default track is a black outline with no fill which is VERY hard to read if the screen is at all dark.

Any way to set the default color for the android TV app?  FYI this does not happen with the same content in ET.

Hi.  PGS subs are graphical.  There is no way to change their color...

Any notion why they're colored in in ET but just unfilled outlines in the ATV app?

Can you show screenshot comparisons? Are you sure it's the same subtitle track?

Sure, here's a sample shot.  The top is from the Android TV app and the bottom from ET.  Note that this isn't consistent.  There are plenty of shows I have that don't do this but most of them are already in English so it doesn't much matter.

Ok. There might not be a whole lot we can other than report it as an upstream issue to the Android video player library that we're using.

Are any ffmpeg logs created for either of those playback sessions?

Yea that's a good question. First we should find out whether it's actually the server or the app that is rendering the subs.

No, it's direct playing.  No FFMPEG logs for the session in question.  If I force transcoding I don't have the issue.  Using an external player is a better workaround though as that doesn't introduce artifacts to anime and that's mostly where I'm seeing the issue.

I can try and report this to Google but they are going to want a simple sample they can reproduce it with.  Can you get me a short piece of an item with the issue?
