On 2/27/2018 my sever was updated to 3.3, before then my movies page used to show all of my movies with a second page and a ### of ### movie count. It doesn't any more but if I click on a index letter on the side I can get to all my movies..  ???  Server log attached.

Hi there, can you tell us what you do see, or perhaps show a screenshot to demonstrate the issue? I don't quite follow this, thanks !

If you click scan media library does it get stuck?

Posted (edited)

When you brows through the page with the movies on it; thumb card, poster what ever.. Everything looks normal except for at the top and bottom, I used to have two pages of movies plus collections. So at the bottom and top of my movie page it would say something like ( 110 of 240 ) and there would be an arrow to let you flip to the next page of movies. This is gone. Along the side of this page are index letters (#ABC - Z), if you click on one it will still take you to the corresponding movies. So my movies are all still there but there seems to be a display / cataloging problem? I have done a rescan, replaced all meta data, restarted the server... Nothing gets stuck, everything seems to work fine except not showing all my movie pages. Is there a cache file I can delete or move and rescan the library to let the server rediscover all 845 Folders / movie directories.

No it works fine

He means that the pagination has disappeared.

However I am also on 3.3, and I see pagination.

@@rnhbmf what browser is that?

Why happens when you clear browsing data and refresh the page?

Could be related to this:

Tried the browser cache, same thing in edge, chrome, IE, Firefox

Luke put up a beta version of the server a day or so ago which fixed some database issues.

Maybe try the latest beta server and see if you are experiencing the same thing as the people in the link above.

When you open your metadata manager in the dashboard, is your entire library included and edit-able?

No the beta won't effect it. How many total movies do you have roughly?

I ask because there is logic to hide the pagination when under a certain size

250-, 280 or so movies. The page ends off around movies that start with F, I can't get to the rest unless I use the index letters..

Strange, I haven't' seen that before. I'll look into it, thanks.

Is there a cache file I can delete and then scan the library like it's the first time?

No, that's not going to matter. Whatever it is is most likely isolated in the web app and not the server.

I've just noticed this issue as well. In my case, it also skips movies. The list starts at the top showing titles starting with A and B. Then it shows 2 titles with D, 1 with F, 2 with M, 1 with P, and 1 with R. For a total of about 90 items on screen. I have a bit more than 90 movies. Not sure that logs would be helpful but happy to provide if needed.

I am having the same problem.  It doesn't occur when listing Tv Shows.  Emby will list the first 90 (or so) movies starting with the corresponding letter clicked on the right.  Then stops or lists a couple collections.   It ends there with no arrows to go to the next page.   It does it whether I'm using my phone or desktop and on both IE and Chrome.

Also, I don't experience the problem when viewing collections.

Thanks for the report. We'll look into it.

Hello,

Any news on this? Friends and family are bugging me what happened to all my movies. They're all still there you just have to click the index letters

one at a time to brows..

I noticed that one of my movies didn't have any Metadata.  It Started with a "P" while my library scanned all the way to "S".  I re-scanned that movie and then Emby continued and added the other movies.

BTW, I'm now running Emby Version 3.3.1.0 on Open Media Vault.

If it is getting "stuck" scanning then it could be possible that the movie it is getting stuck on isn't displayed on the first (and only) page available.  Even when you jump to another letter from the right index.  There might be more than 90 movies from that letter.  Or I could be way off base.  Also the problem disappeared on my Windows box.   But I've moved on to OMV.

Looks like this problem isn't a problem anymore.  Everything works as expected now.  Great work guys.

I still don't have a pagenation and with 866 movies clicking one letter at a time and  not all the movies showing is a pain..

Ok, apologies for the disruption. I have not been able to reproduce or find the source of what your issue might be. I am still investigating. Thanks.
