Questions about switching from Windows Server to Ubuntu

I'm thinking of moving my Emby server from Windows Server 2012 R2 to Ubuntu 16.04 but I have a couple of questions.

 

1) Are any features or plugins unavailable on the Linux version or are the Linux/Windows versions exactly the same feature wise? I don't want to move to the Ubuntu version and find I'm unable to do X Y or Z.

 

2) If I backup my config from my windows server will I be able to restore it to a Linux install easily or am I better off starting from scratch?

It should be identical. You can use the restore process but you'll want to avoid restoring things that contain full paths.

Thanks, I think the only thing that would be an issue with a restore is my Recorded TV directory. That currently goes to a local drive on the server. The other libraries are all pointing at UNC paths like \\server\share.
