HD Homerun Live TV choppyness solved

The latest HDHR firmware has completely solved my choppy, barely watchable Live TV.  For anyone else that has the issue and doesn't realize there's a new(ish) firmware out.

What version are you on now? All I'm seeing is 20171221 or are you on beta?

20170930.  I also saw there was a more recent one, but I let the HDHR software do the autoupdate and for whatever reason, that's the version it picked.  As an aside, I was under the assumption once the HDHR software was installed on a windows box, it would auto update the FW.  

 

edit: btw, I don't see 1221 on the website so I assume it's beta?  https://www.silicondust.com/support/downloads/firmware-changelog/ And 1208 might not apply to my device which is why it picked 0930.

 

either way, what a difference.  I actually watched the olympics last night without the stream freezing at the finish line (which it loved to do previously).

 

more curiously, the stream was fine until probably like 2 months ago, then it went to shit.  I wonder what changed, and what was fixed.
