Mi Box Playback issues for some movies.

I am not sure just why this is happening but some movies in my library are not playing properly. For example 101 dalmatians. I try to play it and initially nothing happens. If i hit playback correction i will often get video but no audio. This also seems to be limited to the mi box i am using which is on android tv 6.

Any advice on this? I would like to use the mi box for all 3 tv's.

I also cant seem to get live tv to work on the new stable 3.3 at least not on the mi box which i was able to watch tv on 3.2.70

It would appear that you're having a networking problem or I/O problem, and if I had to guess this is probably going to affect playback:

	Processor count: 4
	Program data path: /var/lib/emby
	Application directory: /opt/emby-server/system
System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path '/media/emby/Movies-Misc/Quilting Mp4-s'.

How odd that is the directory of my wife's quilting stuff.

If you haven't already purchased the extra Miboxes, take a look at this Mecool M8S Pro L with Bluetooth Voice Remote.  I purchased mine for $69.99, about three bucks cheaper than my Xiaomi MiBox.  Far more versatile than the Mibox.   Both Geekbuying and Gearbest seem to have "sales" (coupons) for these boxes.

I did a video comparing my Xiaomi Mibox and my new Mecool M8S Pro L with Bluetooth Voice Remote.  When I made the video, I could not get the Bluetooth part of the remote to pair, but yesterday I was able to figure out the correct key presses to get it into pairing mode.  It is an awesome Bluetooth/IR combo remote, slightly better than my Xiaomi Mibox remote.

So here I found that my mibox would only connect to my 2.4GHz WiFi and only supported an HT 20 width network. Additionally the Mibox doesn’t come with a built in NIC.

Most WiFi networks need to be tuned when first setup to be optimal for all devices throughout the coverage area.

Using WiFi scanning tools like acrylic WiFi and ekahau should allow you to pick less utilized channels and channels that don’t overlap with your neighbors or other devices using the same frequency and find the best installation locations for yo r WiFi network.

What’s more there are a reasonable amount of technical changes. Features like MIMO were not as widely popular as they didn’t do anything about the serial nature of WiFi. MU-MIMO however does have the ability to better serve many devices at once.

Lastly services like multicast and broadcast traffic can cause unneeded overhead on WiFi. Eliminating them or only allowing specific devices to create that traffic is advantageous.

The m8 box looks nice, but i dont know if i want to start with something that has heat issues. This is going to be in an enclosed cabinet or stuck behind a tv, so ventilation is going to be lousy. The mi box i currently have is doing pretty good aside from a couple issues to iron out like playback of a couple movies and live tv still trying to figure out where the issues are on those. I also did find out my servers / drive was full so i cleared that up and it was not emby's doing, my trash was full of stuff. I am sure that will help out with performance lol maybe it was even causing the io errors in the log.

I also just got my wired adapter with usb hub for the mi box. Hopefully i can test that out soon.
