Android TV - Horizontal Stretch Doesn't Work

I had an original thread here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/56299-android-tv-set-aspect-ratio/ but I now realize that the horizontal stretch that's built into the default player is supposed to accomplish my request.

 

Currently the horizontal stretch option on the Android TV doesn't actually stretch anything at all, it simply moves the media to the left side of the screen. I've tested and confirmed this behavior on 2 different tv boxes and different media files.

Hi.  Exactly what kind of item was this?  I've only seen that happen on some Live TV channels.

This occurs with mp4 and mkv video files that I have tested, whenever the media is 4:3 and I go to do the horizontal stretch it just goes to the left of the screen.
