nuttyclarks 1 Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 I have a couple of issues, but first one is this... I have added Olympus Has Fallen and London Has Fallen to my collection. I have the autobox sets and it adds these movies to the ...Has Fallen Collection. All good so far. Every time I run a library scan, it updates the date added for the collection to the current day? I've tried to remove the collection and movies, but same result?
Luke 42080 Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 Hi, know, it shouldn't be doing this. How are you determining that this is happening?
nuttyclarks 1 Posted February 20, 2018 Author Posted February 20, 2018 (edited) In the web interface, I go to movies and sort by date added. I then use the dots and choose edit info for collection. The date added is always changed to the last date (of last library scan). Edited February 20, 2018 by nuttyclarks
ebr 16185 Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 This could explain why collections keep ending up at the front of a sort by date added...
Luke 42080 Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 We're definitely not doing that. Do you have any timelord plugins installed? it could be that. something external could also be editing the collection xml.
Happy2Play 9782 Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 I am not seeing this at all. All of my Autobox set collections have initial dated dates from first run of plugin. I have Timelortd plugins and have no effect on Collections on items. I am a little confused on whether OP is talking about Collections or Movies when reading post 1 and 3.
nuttyclarks 1 Posted February 20, 2018 Author Posted February 20, 2018 For example, when these movies got added.... I edit info and update date added for each movie, say 1/20/2015 and 2/20/2016. Next, I edit info and update date added for collection to 2/20/2016. If I then update the library, the date added for the movies stay 1/20/2015 and 1/20/2016, but the date added for the collection gets updated to present date, such as 2/20/2018. No other movies/collections do this ?
Happy2Play 9782 Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 I can't reproduce this following the same steps Edit Movies Added Date Edit Collection Added Date Run Library Scan (no change) Restart and Scan (no change) Can you restart your server and reproduce your issue and post the server log. How to Report a Problem
nuttyclarks 1 Posted February 21, 2018 Author Posted February 21, 2018 Restarted Emby Server. Changed collection 'added date'. Scanned Library. Collection 'added date' auto changed back to 2/20/2018. Emby Log.txt
Luke 42080 Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 For starters you're running an old version of emby server so before we go any further please update to the latest version. Thanks !
nuttyclarks 1 Posted February 21, 2018 Author Posted February 21, 2018 According to the Web Interface, I am running Version 3.2.70.0 ? Is that not the latest stable version?
Luke 42080 Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Yes that is the latest but your log says 3.2.30

Luke 42080 Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 How does that relate to date added of a collection?
nuttyclarks 1 Posted February 21, 2018 Author Posted February 21, 2018 By looking at my log... it looks like it deletes the has fallen collection and later in the scan it re-creates the collection, which would answer why it always has a date added of the last library scan. Not sure why that would happen though?
PenkethBoy 2068 Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 How does that relate to date added of a collection? because it gets re created on each library scan - so not surprisingly the date created changes!!!
nuttyclarks 1 Posted February 21, 2018 Author Posted February 21, 2018 So, I guess the real question is... why is the library scan deleting the collection?
GhostRider 49 Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 (edited) So, I guess the real question is... why is the library scan deleting the collection? Just an off chance - have you moved the movies in the collection to a different physical disk since the collection was first created? Edited February 21, 2018 by GhostRider
nuttyclarks 1 Posted February 21, 2018 Author Posted February 21, 2018 (edited) Have not moved to a different physical disk. I did try to copy movies to a local drive, then deleted both movies from the collection and deleted the collection. Ran a library scan. Moved movies back to same location. Ran a library scan. Updated date added on movies and collection. Ran a library scan... same result, changes date added on collection to today. Edited February 21, 2018 by nuttyclarks
