Richard Branches 330 Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 Every folder in my library has the option "Enable real time monitoring" turned off like in the picture below: But every time I run the server after a certain amount of time, like the next day for example, it starts to scan my media library by itself or automatically: I want to scan for the library manually but I haven't found an option to turn that off, so the question is if this is a bug or is it something that cannot be turn off currently?
Solution rhodges 49 Posted February 20, 2018 Solution Posted February 20, 2018 "Enable real time monitoring" and scheduled monitoring are 2 different things. Look at scheduled tasks, "Scan Media Library". I think you can edit that to remove the task trigger. 1
Happy2Play 9780 Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 (edited) Correct go to Dashboard-Scheduled Tasks and click on Scan Media Library and adjust the trigger to your needs. Edited February 20, 2018 by Happy2Play
Happy2Play 9780 Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 By default it does not scan at startup Well that depends on how long the server has been off, as the default is every 12 hours.
Richard Branches 330 Posted February 20, 2018 Author Posted February 20, 2018 I found it and removed the task, let's see if tomorrow works as expected, thank you for the tip.
Luke 42078 Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 Well that depends on how long the server has been off, as the default is every 12 hours. Yes that is correct. If the scan is set to every 12 hours, and the server has been off for more than 12 hours, than it will scan at startup. But all of this is adjustable.
