Emby remote play not working as expect

Hi,

First I use Emby for a few weeks now and I really love it. I came from a popcorn-hour and wanted something more 2018 with multiple devices, play every ware etc.

I looked at Plex, Kodi and Emby. I liked Plex especially because my satellite receiver (OpenPLI) had an dream-plex plugin so I could use one device in the living room. But when looking at Plex and comparing with Emby I choose for Emby because Plex is to commercial in my opinion and to static. Emby is more what fits for me.

There is one issue with Emby I do not like and that is the remote-play / control option. The idea to play/ stream music to my Emby android TV box and control it with my phone is what I want. And it works great, until I have enough of a song or album and want to switch to an other. The first album is in the queue and from my phone I cannot switch it. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong of course but when I install BubbleUPnP Server and from my Emby android phone app stream to that it works like I want to. Play song 1 from album A, go to the middle of the song because that great solo in it. Go to song 2. After 20 seconds decide to want to album B song 6, look it up, press it and it comes out of the speakers.

Is that also possible with the Emby for Andoid TV app? Or just use BubbleUPnP Server for that.

Hi, what exactly does happen when you do that with the Emby app?

It should popup a message on the screen asking you if you want to add to the queue or replace it.  Does it not do that?

It exactly popups with the message, only that is exactly what I don't want (or like) because I control the music by phone and do not want to walk to the TV set and say if I want to replace or add the content. Because I'm controlling it by phone. And there I say I want to change it.

And BubbleUPnP does exactly that, when I say switch album, it's done.

As this is the way Emby works no problemn, the two work great next to each other.

I suppose we could make the decision to replace the queue whenever the request comes in over remote control...
