Mchar7 0 Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 I am trying to setup my home media server so that me and my roommate can both have our own managed Emby accounts with our own media. We do share some favorites, and I am trying to make a folder that can share some of my files with him. I would make put a symbolic link in the shared folder to each specific movie in my personal folder that I want shared. His library would then be his folder PLUS the shared folder. When I tried this, Plex picked up the shared media, but Emby did not. Am I doing this right or is this a limitation? Luke 42078 Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 Yes it appears they don't work consistently across all operating systems. Hopefully the upcoming .net core 2.1 runtime will improve this.
