Auto Organize and disallowed characters

Does Auto-Organize have a built-in validating tool for disallowed characters in Windows? For example, a number of shows use a colon on The TVDB like "X-Men: The Animated Series". I've noticed that, when Auto-Organize fails to organize a file, it seems to be because there's a disallowed character in the title. If that's the case, would there be a way for Auto-Organize to simply eliminate the disallowed character, e.g. rename "X Men: The Animated Series" to "X-Men The Animated Series" instead?
