revengineer 142 Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 I updated and Amazon Fire latest gen and a Moto G5S plus to v2.9.86 and have issues with playback of synced files. On the Fire tablet, one video would play for 10 minutes then start stuttering, ultimately the app would exit to home screen. On my G5S plus, I could not get a synced video to play. In both cases, the synced files would play perfectly with the video player from ES File Explorer. I went back to v2.9.76 for now, this version worked great.

The G5S plus is android 7.1.1. For both devices, I request "medium" quality, which results in immediate transfer rather than transcoding the file first. In conclude that the video is "at original quality."
