solidus28 12 Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 It's entirely possible this was a fluke or very obscure issue, but I was able to repeat it multiple times with multiple videos...at least for a while. I uploaded logs around 2:35p ET maybe? Issue was repeated between 2:28p-3:33p ET. I played War for the Planet of the Apes 4K HDR10 & Atmos and I noticed it said TrueHD on my receiver instead of Atmos. I skipped ahead 30 seconds, and it came up as Atmos. I skipped ahead again and it went to TrueHD. It would alternate everytime I would skip ahead. I stopped that video and went to The Expendables 3, also HDR10 and Atmos. Same issue. I then went to other lower quality videos (TV or Blu Ray) that are SDR, but have Atmos. I was able to skip ahead no problem. I did a full restart of the Shield, but experienced the same symptoms. I then tried some 1080p with DTSX Master, no problem with those either. I then tried one of the Bourne movies in 4K HDR10 with DTSX MA and no problem there...by this time, when I circled back to War & Expendables, the problem no longer exhibited itself. Just wanted to see if you see anything in the logs. Hoping this was a fluke and I don't encounter it again, but if there is a bug (on my end or in the app), I'd like to figure it out. Thanks!
ebr 16177 Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 Likely related to the other issues in the player with TrueHD. Hopefully, Google will be able to address it. Oh, wait... what version of the app?
ebr 16177 Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 Found your log I think. You are using the release version so that's not it but it may have just been a fluke of how the content was being interpreted by the receiver.
