Okeur75 7 Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 (edited) Hi all, I removed my "Music" library from Emby but it still does appear on the main screen and in the left panel (see screenshots below). Is it a bug or do I need to do something else ? (Emby is running version 3.2.70.0 and the server has been restarted) Regards, Edit : To remove from your main screen a library you deleted, you have to do a "Scan All Libraries" from the control panel. Solution Luke 42077 Posted February 11, 2018 Solution Posted February 11, 2018 Hi, please try running a library scan. Thanks! 1
Okeur75 7 Posted February 12, 2018 Author Posted February 12, 2018 Ok it worked. So when you delete a library, you have to do a "Scan All Libraries" to make your recently deleted library disapeared. Scanning a single library does not work, you have to "Scan All Libraries". Maybe this is something that could be patched in a future release Regards,
Luke 42077 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Patch what? How would you scan a library if it's been removed? When you remove a library the server will actually start a full scan, so the only way you could have missed out on this is if you stopped the scan.
Okeur75 7 Posted February 12, 2018 Author Posted February 12, 2018 Patch what? Ok ok sorry for the offense you seem to have taken... Let's say it's working and the bug I experienced was just an isolated bug. How would you scan a library if it's been removed? When I say "Scanning a single library does not work" of course I mean scanning another library than the one you just removed. In my case I tried to scan only the Movie library to see if Emby would remove the Music library from the main menu, but it did not. So I triggered a full rescan with the "Scan all libraries" button and it worked. When you remove a library the server will actually start a full scan, so the only way you could have missed out on this is if you stopped the scan. No scan of all libraries has been triggered when I removed the Music library, and I did not stop anything. But again, maybe just a bug, something failing at the exact same time of the trigger, I don't know... Nevermind, it's working now, it's what matters. Cheers,
Luke 42077 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Thanks for the info. I just tested removing a library and it initiated a full scan as expected.
