Hi,

I just got the guide working and next day my C; disk was full. I think it's metadata for TV.

I did a disk cleanup,  rebooted the computer and about 10G is free.

My C: disk is a relatively small SSD. All of my recordings etc are directed to other magnetic drives.

In server setup I see TV metadata is on drive C: but it does not look like it can be moved?

Also I was wondering about the LiveTV buffer. Is it on C:?

Is there a strategy to eliminate this issue? It also may be that I had livetv paused (on another computer), then put the computer to sleep.

Thanks

Hi, what folder exactly had all the data?

Yes we do have a metadata folder setting in the server dashboard.

users/myname/appdata/roaming/Emby-Server/programdata/metadata/livetv

There were hundreds of dirs there, now only a few.

As I added above , it may be live tv buffer also.

How does the livetv buffer work in terms of location, size limits etc?

The live TV buffer will go in the servers transcoding temporary folder. That folder is also configurable.

Hi, it happened again, fairly certain it's metadata. I had quite a few recordings from other media programs.

However, I can't seem to edit the server config - Metadata page paths.

When I press backspace in the path box it kicks me out of that page.

I see  "edit" near the top of the page but it's not a link.

Hi, what if you try not passing backspace?

Possibly copy and paste the path.

But have you verified what folder is filling up?  I would think it would be the transcoding-temp folder, but I could be wrong as I don't use Live TV.

It's not the Metadata, it's the recording folder.

I specified a D: drive folder but it's recording to the C: public/public videos folder. I see livetv files with todays date.

I specified the D: recording folder in the server config - DVR page.

Any idea why it would not use it?

I had many previous recordings in that folder so I'll try using a new folder.

You will probably have to post a server log.  Could it be a permissions issue on your D drive.

Yes we'd have to look at the server log. If it falls to access th custom path it will ever to default
