I think it would be nice to have this option when right clicking the icon.

Will it be on the other apps eventually?

Could it be added to system tray?

you can get to the server dashboard from within the android app.

so then it's not actually in the apps, just controlling the dashboard through the app.  So, obviously, never coming to any other clients.

don't get me wrong, I really love and appreciate all the work you guys do, I just have to laugh sometimes. I'd say at least 50% of the responses to threads are, well, if you jump through these 12 hoops you can actually do that already. lol.  I could also just get up off my fat ass and go to the computer, click the tray icon, click configure, wait, scroll down, click scheduled tasks, scroll, click scan library, but I was looking for a faster way.

personally, i'd rather you just say no, we're not going to do that.

Just FYI - there is a "Scan all libraries" button at the top of the "Libraries" tab which will cut down your above click count a bit :D.

Can you clarify a point ? Why when you do a right click on the library from the player the default action is "Replace all metadata" and when you do it from the server library configuration it's only for new and modified files ?

I'm not sure to understand when do i need to do a full metadata update that is slower.
