Linux Live TV ffmpeg "nice" value - change from 20 to 15?

I have a post processing script that I've set to a nice of 20. I see that live TV transcoding is also set to 20. Ideally the Live TV nice would have a higher priority as to not disturb viewing. Can this value be modified?

FWIW I've already upgraded hardware. Moving from an i5 2.9GHz to a dual processor Xeon 5660 (12 real cores at 2.8 GHz) on hardware (not VM). While watching the superbowl this evening and transcoding a ts file to MKV using HandBrakeCLI the Emby client on the firestick lost the feed twice.

Seems changing the Emby nice value for ffmpeg would give priority to the real time processing needs.

We actually aren't specifying a nice value at all so it must be some kind of default. Yes it's possible to adjust in the future. Thanks.
