d00zah 149 Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Emby Server Version: 3.2.70.0 Just deleted a recorded TV program (by WMC) from the web UI Recorded TV section, resulting in the entire contents of my RecordedTV folder being deleted. Occurs in log @ ~ 2018-02-04 15:13:56. In the process of recovering deleted recordings, but this should NOT happen. Log was rather aggressively redacted, so if there's any pertinent info that has been obscured, please let me know. TIA.
Luke 42085 Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Yes this is only affecting plugin based live tv and is resolved for the next release, thanks.
d00zah 149 Posted February 4, 2018 Author Posted February 4, 2018 Didn't see any mention, & I TRY to, at least, be aware https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby/releases Considering the destructive nature of these sorts of bugs, & what I considered the obvious place to look made no mention, is there any more reliable way of communicating said bugs? Recovery was limited & much was lost. Beyond the release notes, I'm afraid I have no suggestions...
Luke 42085 Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Well, it wasn't caught until after release. What kind of tuner do you have?
d00zah 149 Posted February 4, 2018 Author Posted February 4, 2018 Ceton Eth6 / ServerWMC I would have expected the subsequent beta release notes to have included a note if the problem were identified & fixed? Something short of reading all the forums?
d00zah 149 Posted February 5, 2018 Author Posted February 5, 2018 Having lost 6 mos worth of recordings, I now need to make sure this NEVER happens again. I've set the Feature Access settings to this in order to limit Emby access to essentially a 'view only' role: Now, there is no 'Delete' option... good: But there still seems to be an option to mess with the schedule: Is here a setting I've missed which will prohibit this?
