Movie Posters

I have 4600 movies. Kodi loads and shows the images for my movie posters perfectly. There is little if any delay. Emby never shows posters for some of my movies and tv shows. I am using common KODI convention. I leave nothing to chance. I use Tiny Media Manager to create my metadata and make sure my naming scheme is good. I took one movie and refreshed the metadata from within Emby. I told it to replace images as well. STILL no movie poster...just a blank with text of the movie name. This occurs within the web browser as well as my Nvidia Shield's interface. Also, I don't want to scroll across for movies, I want to scroll up and down like in Kodi. I am running a wired gigabit network.I am running professional network equipment. My server is a 2nd generation quad core i7 with 16gb memory and a ssd. The movie libraries are on 6 different NAS devices....all connected via the same gigabit network. I realize Kodi is using it's own local database.Still doesn't explain why thumbnails load so slow. The thumbnails that ARE present seem to be consistently pretty quick. There seem to be a few that do load but slow, then some that don't load.

If there are no posters shown the movie most likely hasn't been recognized.  If you have existing metadata the problem will either be with that or your file naming/directory structure.

Make a copy of a movie and add that copied folder as a separate library after deleting the metadata from the copy.  If that scans correctly it's a problem with your existing metadata.  If it doesn't, look at the naming wiki.
