GPL 0 Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 I was about to get prem for emby, have been using another service previous. But there is an active GPL violation going on. I cant support this project until this is rectified. The issue is that if I do a pull on git, and build, it fails. The reason why this is - has to do with the .net implementation. I can not truly know if there is proprietary software in my computer without being able to build one of the provided binaries. I am unfamiliar with the forums here. This is my first post. I want it to be under the license section, but I did not see one. Nor did I see a legal section. I put it under General/Windows because I want it in General, but have no wish for it to be in the windows forum, as I do not plan on using a build on a proprietary OS, however I did not find a better section. I am sorry for this inconvenience. I use a fully open source computer. Absolutely no proprietary code exists in my lifestyle. This is my choice. I would love to support emby in this, but I cant be sure there isnt a modual or line to some proprietary code, as I cant build the software as-is in their github. Now I know nothing nefarious is going on, that would be silly. But please just tell me what version is still gpl compliant so I can build one of those, or (much better) address the gpl violation. tl;dr it doesnt compile plz halp

GPL 0 Posted February 4, 2018 Author Posted February 4, 2018 Not exactly what you are looking for but there is more discussion here. Source Code & License Yessir, I perused that before filing my topic. The issue is I cant build the player, not the propriatary server api
GPL 0 Posted February 4, 2018 Author Posted February 4, 2018 what player are you trying to build? what git repo are you cloning and what is your build process? What error do you get? https://i.imgur.com/RQdimHD.png
ebr 16197 Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 https://i.imgur.com/RQdimHD.png Hi. I'm afraid I don't follow how that image answers the question null_pointer asked. That is not a valid command line in any interface I'm aware of...
