burrabbit 0 Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 (edited) Emby server Version 3.2.70.0 Hauppauge 1600 PCI card installed and detected by Emby (WinTV-HVR-1600) It works outside of Emby just fine. I setup a zap2tv account and run the script to generate the xml file. Emby is pointed to use that xml file. When I click 'Refresh Guide Data' it only goes green on the bar for a short time and then nothing. No guide attached are the server log, a file with the script used to generate the xml and the xml file I generated. ServerLog.txtzap2it.txtxmltv.xml Edited February 2, 2018 by burrabbit
aspdend 177 Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 I've just set up my Hauppauge tuner now (at long last!) and was trying to use Webgrabplus, but kept getting inaccessibility errors in creating the xml file. So I went with a 2 month subscription with Schedules Direct, accessed via mx2xml - worked first time - it was a thing of beauty. It doesn't help in your case I'm afraid, but it worked very well for me so maybe an alternative to consider...
burrabbit 0 Posted February 2, 2018 Author Posted February 2, 2018 I don't think the xml is the issue. It seems like Emby is not recognizing the card correctly. I don't understand the server logs well enough to determine that though.
burrabbit 0 Posted February 6, 2018 Author Posted February 6, 2018 That's what I thought. But I also am unable to understand the log files.
burrabbit 0 Posted February 9, 2018 Author Posted February 9, 2018 Does Emby recognize all Hauppauge cards or just certain ones?
Luke 42077 Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 Hi, not all cards. I think you are right about device detection. I will look into this soon for you. Thanks.
burrabbit 0 Posted February 9, 2018 Author Posted February 9, 2018 I have a Hauppauge 1600 which is a PCI card in the system now. I also have an 1800 PCIe card I can use if I need to. Thank You!
MrGrymReaper 0 Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 Is it just the drivers or do you need WinTV-Extend? I have WinTV-quadHD DVB-T card.
Luke 42077 Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 You need to run the full software install from the hauppauge support page.
burrabbit 0 Posted February 14, 2018 Author Posted February 14, 2018 WinTV 8 with extend? or just the drivers?
burrabbit 0 Posted February 14, 2018 Author Posted February 14, 2018 ok. I DL'd and installed winTV8 which has windows 10 drivers included. After setting it up with Extend enabled (not sure if it's needed) and rebooting then Emby was able to find both the 1600 PCI and the 1800 PCIe cards. Guide is still not working right but i can see the channels and play them. (both tuners simultaneously) Still working on getting the xml to work with zap2it
Luke 42077 Posted February 14, 2018 Posted February 14, 2018 Let us know if you are still having xmltv guide setup issues. Thanks.
burrabbit 0 Posted February 16, 2018 Author Posted February 16, 2018 I got it working. Thank You! The tuners have to be working first and then the channels had to be mapped even though they looked like they were already numbered correctly. What about closed captioning for the Deaf?
burrabbit 0 Posted February 16, 2018 Author Posted February 16, 2018 It will not load the first four days of the guide. It works except for that. not sure why no data for the next 4 days.
Luke 42077 Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 Is it possible there's just no data for those days in your xml? have you checked the xml file?
