Can't search for photos?

I'm considering moving from Plex to Emby because the Plex searching has serious limitations (only shows 15 results).  This has proven to be a deal breaker for me and my photo collection.  So I installed Emby and pointed it to me photo collection and let it index for 12 hours (showed as done after an hour in the dashboard).  However, when I search for a picture nothing shows, it will show videos in my pictures library but not a single photo.  Is it not possible to search for photos?  I've searched a lot and haven't found anyone else complaining about this so I'm inclined to think I'm doing something wrong.

 

Edit:  I've tried searching in the web app, iPhone app, and Roku app with the same results.  I specified my library as "Home videos and photos".  Photos show when I browse the library I just can't search for them (which is the whole point of this transition).  It's also worth noting that only videos show under the "latest home videos and photos" section of the homepage.

I tried the search feature in the latest beta : it's great, thanks a lot for the improvement !

 

I hope you'll gon on with the "folder search" since i prefer naming my photo folders directly instead of the individual images.
