JXL2112 7 Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 The library is 2000 FLAC files in 200 folders, not a huge library. I have slow server: Windows 10 Pro, dual core, 8GB, WD 4TB Black Edition. The scan reaches 68% fast but just crawls then, 1 hour later it's at 68.4%. The library seems to be filling up with album photos and such but seems to create many of the same ones over and over again. I paid attention to the settings and left the advance image box unchecked. I also don't have internet downloading any files. I left that unchecked as well since there are already so many folder.jpg and other art work in the folders. I'd upload a log file but it's not done yet....
Luke 42085 Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 Hi, if you upload a log file we can advise on features to disable to make it run faster. thanks.
JXL2112 7 Posted February 1, 2018 Author Posted February 1, 2018 (edited) Just to update: 1. I had to turn off my anti-virus...it really bogged down the machine during scanning. 2. I had to read carefully the settings before adding a library. 3. I had to separate my files better before adding them to emby. 4. Ignore the percent reading....it jumps a lot, 1% to 33% to 68% etc. Now if I could get the Roku app to stop flickering I'd be all setup. Edited February 1, 2018 by JXL2112
ebr 16195 Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 Now if I could get the Roku app to stop flickering I'd be all setup. Please try the beta of the app (this change is still in Roku review for release).
Fratopolis 63 Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 Instead of turning off antivirus. You should be able to add an exception to ignore you media folders so when scanning happens AV does nothing while Emby looks in the specified folders
