Artist nfo and images not stored next to music files

Hi,

 

I am trying to figure out the right configuration so that emby will scrape all music meta data and images and saves them to the NAS drive that holds the music. (like all relevant music information to be stored with the music initially)

 

The current music library is stored as NAS > Music > artist > album > song

 

After the scan I am only able to see newly created album.nfo and sometimes a cdart.png in the album folders. No artist.nfo or images for artists are saved in the artist folder.

 

When opening the media browser gui I do see the artist image. But no descriptions with the artists, as if they where not scraped.

 

I used a test folder with 6 known artists.

 

Before providing logs and screenshots, I was hoping that someone can recommend the correct config settings they use to accomplish the same. To allow for emby to scrape all artist and album information/images to the NAS drive directly.

That's not how we do it. We put artists into a shared metadata folder.

1. Why are the album.nfo and cdart.png stored on the NAS but not the artist meta data?

2. What software is available that will allow for me to scrape artist and album info/images to the NAS? I tried mediaelch but scrappers are not working for music (broken). and Picard wont do these extra meta data scrapping. What is still available?
