shocker 135 Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Hello, I've started to migrate some users to emby, but after creating several accounts ~5 I've received a message that the admin needs to review the account in order to be activated. I have changed my IP address and now everything is ok. Is there a way to bulk create users? Or can I have one IP whitelisted for that? Also a rest API will be great if it's possible to be able to automatically create accounts. Thanks!

Abobader 3470 Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 @@Abobader can you help with this one? Good day, It best this issue to handle or answer by @@Luke or @@ebr My best
shocker 135 Posted January 31, 2018 Author Posted January 31, 2018 Thanks Abobader It would be great to have a solution for this as for the moment I need to change my IP every-time I create 5 accounts and it's quite annoying. Also an API key to register accounts on IPB will be great as well! @@Luke @@ebr can you help me out with this ?
shocker 135 Posted February 2, 2018 Author Posted February 2, 2018 Can you please provide feedback @@Luke @@ebr ? This is quite annoying, I'm not running out of IP's but it's still annoying to keep track and change my IP after 5 new signup's. Sometime if I forget to change my ip that new account gets in a pending for approval state and for the last two days it's still not approved
Luke 42086 Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 Sorry, just haven't had any time to think about this yet.
ebr 16195 Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 Yeah, this is a security measure of the forum software to try and combat spam bots. We need to think carefully about how to manage it.
shocker 135 Posted February 2, 2018 Author Posted February 2, 2018 Yeah, this is a security measure of the forum software to try and combat spam bots. We need to think carefully about how to manage it. Thank you for the feedback. Indeed this is preventing the spam bots to create dummy accounts but also you have the captcha activated that is preventing it and this is great you are 100% protected In future (have no idea if I'm the first one asking for this ) you can provide limited signup access to API to premiere members or create a section with every premiere member to be able to register 1-2 ip's to be whitelisted with you in his account, etc. P.S. I've sent you guys a PM if you can check it out please.
