Crestj 68 Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Just got a new LG 49LJ594v TV. The OS version is 4.xxxx so I guess it's WebOS4 but cannot find the Emby App on the LG Content Store anywhere. I've searched and it still doesn't show up. Reading the main thread on this it appears it got a worldwide release. Should it be there? I'm in the UK if that matters. 1
Luke 42077 Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 It might not be available on webos4 automatically. we may need to opt into that for the next release of the app, thanks.
Crestj 68 Posted January 30, 2018 Author Posted January 30, 2018 That would explain things. I'll wait for the next release.
CBers 7450 Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Just got a new LG 49LJ594v TV. Is that a 2018 model? I have a 2017 LG C7V TV and its only running WebOS 3.7.
CBers 7450 Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 WebOS 3.5 according to this: http://www.lg.com/uk/tvs/lg-49LJ594V
Crestj 68 Posted January 30, 2018 Author Posted January 30, 2018 2017 model as far as I know, was a replacement for a broken Samsung. How do you know what WebOS version it is? I am going by the version in the screenshot.
CBers 7450 Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Go down to TV Information and press select.
Crestj 68 Posted January 30, 2018 Author Posted January 30, 2018 Ah there it is! I thought that was just an option to change the name of the TV for network broadcasts! I'm on v3.7.0-57406 so where is the Emby app then?
CBers 7450 Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 so where is the Emby app then? Not sure, I have it installed.
Crestj 68 Posted January 30, 2018 Author Posted January 30, 2018 Did you just search for it via the LG Content Store? Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
CBers 7450 Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Did you just search for it via the LG Content Store? Yes, but it was 2 months ago, so who knows what's happened since then I must admit, I still use the ATV app on my Shield more. Do you like the ET app then?
Crestj 68 Posted January 30, 2018 Author Posted January 30, 2018 To be honest I have the ET desktop running on my htpc attached to the tv but was curious about the LG app!
CBers 7450 Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 To be honest I have the ET desktop running on my htpc attached to the tv but was curious about the LG app! It works, but it has issues with subtitles. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/54979-pre-selection-of-subtitles-crashes-app

shocker 135 Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 @@Luke any idea why the above models don't have the app available on LG store?
NearWinter 1 Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 I personally, did search for the application in addition to looking at all categories and available apps on the store, to no avail.
Luke 42077 Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 Ok. I just opened a support ticket with LG so we'll see what they say. Thanks.
shocker 135 Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 Same here, the app is not there. Thanks Luke, let us know when they will respond.
