Internal subtitles out of sync on Fire Stick

Hello,

  If I'm watching a movie with internal subtitles (added into the mkv container), it's out of sync, there is 1-2s delay.

  Is this a known issue?

Edit1: Tested on nvidia shield and it's working. Not sure if this is relevant or of the app is the same. This is only happening on Fire Stick and Apple TV shows a duplicate subtitle for this (i have another one opened for this on Apple TV).

Okay, on the Shield, was the item direct playing?

 

On the FTV Stick it is having to remux to convert the audio which then means that it has to extract the subtitles from the video and deliver them externally.  It may be in this situation that they get slightly out of kilter but we'll see what Luke thinks.

 

In an upcoming version of the Fire TV app (in beta now actually) it shouldn't need to remux this item on the server anymore which may side-step this issue (but not really solve it).

Yes, on shield is in direct play, so that's the root cause
