Luke 42077 Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 I'm going to try Ubuntu this weekend. Do you think this will be a good idea? Does Emby work well with this? Yes works great, thanks.
Guest asrequested Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 Why not wait to see if that fixed it?
Allenwalters 1 Posted February 1, 2018 Author Posted February 1, 2018 It didn't, it made it much worse.
Allenwalters 1 Posted February 1, 2018 Author Posted February 1, 2018 I'm about done with Windows. I was wondering if Ubuntu will allow HDR10. I can't find anything about it on Google.
Allenwalters 1 Posted February 1, 2018 Author Posted February 1, 2018 Besides thiss issue, I can't set up a Homegroup after the Fall update. I can't enable ipv6 on any of my 3 computers now. That's why PowerDVD wouldn't work.
Guest asrequested Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 That's weird. My homegroup is just fine and PowerDVD works. I have three Win 10 machines. The one difference is that I did clean installs with full 1709 version of win 10. I didn't use the update process.
Guest asrequested Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 Here's where I posted what I did. Maybe it'll help you? https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/51347-server-gpu-acceleration-or-cpu-processing/page-6&do=findComment&comment=512419
Allenwalters 1 Posted February 1, 2018 Author Posted February 1, 2018 I'll try that. I was able to get my computers to connect by making reservations for them on my router but it's still not ipv6.
Allenwalters 1 Posted February 1, 2018 Author Posted February 1, 2018 Didn't do anything for me. It's still acting the same.
Guest asrequested Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 That's a pity. Well, it was worth a shot. You must be one of the unfortunate few that has a combination that's subject to this. I wish I had another suggestion.
Guest asrequested Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 One more thing Take a look at the pictures I posted here, and check your settings, there. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/53211-emby-theatre-support-for-evc/page-7&do=findComment&comment=533738
Guest asrequested Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 I think it only applies to apps that use the Windows Media foundation, but maybe it'll do something?
Allenwalters 1 Posted February 3, 2018 Author Posted February 3, 2018 I installed Linux Mint, Installed the Nightly build of Kodi 18 and now there is no oversaturation, no banding and the color is normal with no dark or washed out image. Can you give me any advice on getting HDR now?
