mattstrike 0 Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Server is repeatedly crashing at random, and frequently. It seems to be crashing during or immediately after a scan, or when I access the webui I've ran diagnostics and sent log sendlogs_DiskStation_synology_bromolow_3615xs_20180127T110028UTC.tgz Thanks Log.txt
Luke 42077 Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 hi there @@mattstrike, can you try removing all plugins and see if the issue persists? thanks !
lordsiris 2 Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Same thing on DS218+ with both emby docker and emby community application.
Luke 42077 Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 @@lordsiris can you please attach the information requested in how to report a problem. thanks !
mattstrike 0 Posted January 28, 2018 Author Posted January 28, 2018 hi there @@mattstrike, can you try removing all plugins and see if the issue persists? thanks ! Thanks for reply Luke, typically after crashing about 8 times in the space of a few hours it hasn't crashed since I submitted the post. I'll monitor it.
lordsiris 2 Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Mine was caused by using smb paths for the library locations, once I mounted the smb shares in synology then mapped them to emby it seems to be fine. Sorry to pile on.
Luke 42077 Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Ok thanks for the info, we'll do some testing on that.
Glueckstiger 2 Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 (edited) I have the same problem since i updated the docker image to 3.2.70.0 from 3.2.60.0. But I have my media files on the same synology as emby. I tried to build a clean new installation. I left emby in wizardstart mode and got "emby wurde unerwartet beendet". Can I download somewhere an older 3.2.60.0 image? https://www.evernote.com/l/AhwVtYIB885A2pzmY6E67jlN3ZQadbP_by4 Edit: Now i switched to a fork on hub.docker.org which runs under 3.2.60.0. Works again. Edited February 6, 2018 by Glueckstiger
solabc16 379 Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 Hello @@mattstrike Are you still having issues? I see from the logs you've sent across, this is actually an XPEnology based system - not a problem, but good to know up front. The crashes are being consistently caused by the graphics processing library (Skia), which we haven't seen for a number of releases now. If you haven't had a look already, please take a look at https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Synology-:-Custom-Package-Architectures-for-XPEnology For reference, your system has an Intel® Xeon® CPU E3-1225 v3 @ 3.20GHz processor, which is based on the 'haswell' architecture.
