lwagstaff 0 Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 (edited) Hi all, When about to play a movie you get presented with the selection screen with the play movie button and the play trailer etc, if I select play trailer I get a error window 50% of the time or so displaying static and stating something along the lines that playing trailer is not allowed for some locations etc goto to utude. I assume Emby is trying to play the trailer form an internet site that won't allow it to be played to my zone, I have downloaded the trailer into the same folder as the movie and named it xxxx-trailer hoping Emby would find the trailer in the folder and play it but it still wants to play it form the site that won't allow it. Is there a way I can get Emby to search the local drive first before looking on the net? Edited January 27, 2018 by lwagstaff
Luke 42077 Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Hi, we always use local trailers first. can you tell me exactly what the error message says? we have different sources for trailers so I'm asking this so that i can identify where it's coming from. thanks !
lwagstaff 0 Posted January 27, 2018 Author Posted January 27, 2018 Window states: "This video contains content from movieclips. It is restricted from playback on certain sites or applications. Watch on youtube. It is also not possible to get out of this screen using the back button, the only way I have found to get out of it is to hit the recent button then close Emby down. When I first got this message I downloaded the trailer and placed in the movie folder, I still get the same error.
Luke 42077 Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 What are the contents of the movie folder? can you show a screenshot? Did you run a library scan after adding the trailer?
lwagstaff 0 Posted January 29, 2018 Author Posted January 29, 2018 Hi, Scanning solved the problem, thanks for that, I'm used to systems that auto scan when files are added to the archive:) Cheers Leigh
Luke 42077 Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Thanks for the feedback. We do have that if you enable the realtime monitor for your libraries.
