EduardoSantos 40 Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 (edited) I am setting up Emby to host ip cameras as live TV channels. Emby's version is 3.2.70.0 I configured a live TV tuner on Emby according to: Tunner: M3U Tuner File: C:\Users\Public\Videos\BF1104.m3u User agent: N/A Simultaneous live streams: 0 BF1104.m3u file content is: #EXTM3U Sample #EXTINF:0,Internal rtsp://realuser:realpassword@192.168.1.11:8094/live1.sdp #EXTINF:0,External rtsp://realuser:realpassword@mydomain.sample:8094/live1.sdp And indeed a Live TV "library" was created containing both channels. Internal (LAN/WiFi) access to the Internal channel is ok. I can access it from Emby's web client (browser), Emby's Android client and I am able to cast it to a Chromecast (wich is really beautiful). Internal (LAN/WiFi) access to the External channel results in no image. External access does not work for both channels. Emby's external access to other content is ok. It streams videos and music. Router 8094 port is oppen and redirects to the IP camera As I got no image or sound from Emby's Live TV channel from outside, I tested the external url from outside using Android's VLC client. It does work perfectly wich, I supppose, confirm route's port redirection is up and running. Also, access to the External channel seems to induce Emby to a permanent HD access as windows task manager reports 100% HD activity. This activity will only cease when Emby's service is restarted. Do you have any hint on how to tacle this? Edited January 26, 2018 by EduardoSantos
Blob 7 Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 I had to switch to the Android beta client, after 3.2.70 server and live Tv to work...
EduardoSantos 40 Posted January 26, 2018 Author Posted January 26, 2018 Thanks for the tip! But on this scenario the External stream will not work for no client: Emby web client, Android app or Chromecast regardless being started inside or outside the network.

Luke 42081 Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. thanks !
EduardoSantos 40 Posted January 26, 2018 Author Posted January 26, 2018 The attached files are from an insuccessful test when accessing the External channel. Please feel free to ask additional logs including the successfull streaming from the Internal channel if needed. ffmpeg-remux-073d6809-bfe5-422b-9cab-7fb032455601.txt server-63652591947.txt
Luke 42081 Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 It appears ffmpeg is having a problem reading your rtsp stream: rtsp://bf1104.brasilia.me:8094/live1.sdp: Unknown error Finishing stream 0:0 without any data written to it.
EduardoSantos 40 Posted January 27, 2018 Author Posted January 27, 2018 (edited) I see... Could it be a user/password problem? I noticed the URL below does not have the user:pass on it. rtsp://bf1104.brasilia.me:8094/live1.sdp: Unknown error Finishing stream 0:0 without any data written to it. But anyway do you think this explains why the same stream is correctly displayed when using local (192.168.1.0/24) addresses? I must mention that this rtsp stream is opened by VLC both local and remotely. How should I proceed? Edited January 27, 2018 by EduardoSantos
Luke 42081 Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Unfortunately with no way to test i can't answer that for you.
EduardoSantos 40 Posted January 28, 2018 Author Posted January 28, 2018 Oh, @@Luke, you can access the stream from the outside. Please feel free to use the provided URL.As I said it is reachable by VLC. Also you can access the Emby server if it wold be necessary.
Luke 42081 Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 @@Waldonnis, do you have a chance to try this and see if our command line for rtsp needs adjustment? thanks !
