SHSPVR 123 Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Plases keep in mind that this just a mockup with all of the seeing eye but I'm sure you all could come up with something just as good this. The reason for this is so that way I know what I have watched which come in very handy when come to all show that I can't remember every single show I watch over the years, that one bigger features I really miss which SageTV heck even Google Fiber TV has this to, But none of other DVR give US this not TiVo. And I like way manual mark them to so don't record the show episodes or movie if it in my scheduler or series list unless I manuel reset for rerecording that show And most keep a some kind data base 2
Luke 42078 Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 So if i understand correctly, you want to be able to mark something as watched, and then in the series recording settings have a filter to exclude watched from recording?

As long as I have way manuel mark them from with the guide or recording that way they doesn't get record and display with in the guide has them as all ready been watch like I Illustrated in the in above photo and doesn't record them. jfgilliam 26 Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 (edited) +1 Does the watched status still exist in the database if the media has been deleted? Most of the time, I delete episodes/movies once I've watched them. The other thing that you might could do, is integrate with the Trakt.tv plugin for the watched status as well? And, just as the OP wanted, when marked watched from the guide, it would update Trakt.tv. Edited September 17, 2018 by jfgilliam
jfgilliam 26 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Yes it remains in the database. Great, that helps a lot. But, I would still like to see some integration with Trakt.tv plugin. Being new to Emby, most of my watched statuses are in Tract.tv for both shows and movies.
jfgilliam 26 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Isn't that what our Trakt plugin is for? I'm specifically referring to shows on TV that are not in any library and never have been in a library. But, Trakt.tv does know about it because it's in my Trakt.tv history.
SHSPVR 123 Posted March 29, 2019 Author Posted March 29, 2019 So Luke any plan to add a watched status the in to guide and show as part of the info for manuel mark
Carlo 4561 Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 For shows the watched status would only apply to episodes that have been watched correct? If so I think these needs to match based on both the season/episode number as well as the episode title as well. I say this because a lot of shows I record have mismatches on numbering between our EPG and meta-guide providers.

Yes and Manuel mark them as Watched that way the scheduler doesn't record it, I take it you have never used SageTV as it has always had that option for min years and very is used full Yes from time to time you will run in to ShowID problem so good cross reference is need

Certain shows are really terrible with the mismatches between the EPG and meta-data providers. I have a few shows I have to constantly remove shows from that I already have (setup for automatic recording). I'd gladly renumber a few shows I have to match the EPG season/number if there was a way to know what numbering they use just to stop this issue.
Luke 42078 Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 We just have to figure out how we're going to correlate the data with the library as we don't have tvdb id's, so just some little things that need to be worked out.
Carlo 4561 Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 This is tough for sure. Up until V4 with the new DB structure I did add triggers to the DB that would correct a lot of this automatically during the EPG data insert. Basically since I already had the shows I was recording and since Emby already had the tvdb loaded I'd used that to "fix" the EPG. What I did was match things based on the show name and the episode name. What ever Emby had loaded from tvdb for the season/episode is what the EPG guide data got changed to. There was a couple string replace operations for I think commas and hyphens and colons. In a nutshell I removed them from the strings to do the compare. Just doing this fixed 95% of all the EPG issues I've seen like this. It obviously does nothing for the first show of a series you record. I posted the sql for the triggers somewhere in the forums. This type of trigger would still work. I just haven't used this with V4 since I'm trying to keep things stock to see issues other see.
