Actors Not Showing

Apologies if this had been mentioned before, but a while back Actors stopped showing up against episodes / movies. It seems that now only support cast and guest actors show up against individual items and not the main cast.

 

Is this intended behaviour and if so why?

No it's not intended, however, they have to be defined in the metadata at the episode level. In other words, we don't merge the actor list on the fly with the series actors.

So is this not pulled from the internet - you have to do this manually?

 

Otherwise I'm a bit confused because these movies / shows are blockbuster / primetime tv calibre i.e. not unknown.

they are pulled from the internet. it's just that the internet metadata will typically only include actors that are unique to individual episodes and not all of the series regulars.

Right - I see what you're saying.

 

Hmm I swear it used to include series regulars, I must be mistaken.
