dcrdev 255 Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Apologies if this had been mentioned before, but a while back Actors stopped showing up against episodes / movies. It seems that now only support cast and guest actors show up against individual items and not the main cast. Is this intended behaviour and if so why?
Luke 42078 Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 No it's not intended, however, they have to be defined in the metadata at the episode level. In other words, we don't merge the actor list on the fly with the series actors.
dcrdev 255 Posted January 25, 2018 Author Posted January 25, 2018 So is this not pulled from the internet - you have to do this manually? Otherwise I'm a bit confused because these movies / shows are blockbuster / primetime tv calibre i.e. not unknown.
Luke 42078 Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 they are pulled from the internet. it's just that the internet metadata will typically only include actors that are unique to individual episodes and not all of the series regulars.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 (edited) Example only two guest actors for the episode Supernatural.S13E11 Emby has never shown full cast at episode level https://www.thetvdb.com/?tab=episode&seriesid=78901&seasonid=715405&id=6275197&lid=7 As for movies you would need post a specific example. dcrdev 255 Posted January 25, 2018 Author Posted January 25, 2018 Right - I see what you're saying. Hmm I swear it used to include series regulars, I must be mistaken.
