jl94x4 14 Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 So, lets say I add a 720p version of X program, then that gets scanned in Emby, a few hours later I add a 1080p into the same directory and delete the 720p one from the folder, this would mean Emby would have a 720p version that doesn't exist on disk and a 1080p version that does. How would Emby handle this scenario? Sorry couldn't find an answer anywhere else..
Deathsquirrel 745 Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Assuming the file name is the same the default behavior will be that the next scan is going to update the media data but you won't see this as a new file. I'm replacing ripped TV that I ran through handbrake with raw rips at the moment. The server handles it without issue.
Guest asrequested Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Turn on real time monitoring in the library. Also, of you kept both, you'd have the choice to play either.
Luke 42090 Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Yes either the realtime monitor or the next library scan will handle it just fine.
