Sammy 790 Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 I am trying to hook my brother in law into the Emby App on his new Fire TV Stick with Alexa voice Remote so he can use Emby to playback some of my content. I don't have a Fire TV Stick and cannot get to his house for several days but he is telling me that the App won't load from the amazon app store because it only works on android devices. Is this correct? How to remedy? I don't have a log because the device is not hooked into my Emby Server yet. TIA

He should be able to push it from there, correct? We all have our skills and hobbies. Technology is not one of his but I couldn't tell you who was on the field in an NFL game either..

I then sent him the link from the amazon app store. For all I know he's trying to install it on his iPhone! It is that bad!

ebr 16171 Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Okay, then there should be no problem. It sounds like he was trying to install from the Google Play store or something. Make sure he is going to the store on the actual Fire TV device.

Sammy 790 Posted January 29, 2018 Author Posted January 29, 2018 Reporting back on this. I had to merely help my BiL get Emby installed on his stick and get him signed in to his account after getting the app installed. All is well. Thanks! 1
